Connectivity to your plant/facility devices is key to real-time information management. The EmsPT software platform includes the broadest possible communication options for information devices. The platform provides the largest selection of connectivity options to hundreds of external systems such as PLCs, weigh scales, gauges, bar code and RFID readers and printers, image systems and other hardware devices.
The platform also embraces openness of OPC technology, exposing its data via OPC for other systems to consume as an OPC Client and also providing the means to connect to any third party OPC Server.
Infact, EmsPT solutions are able to connect to virtually any PLC, field device, industrial hardware or software device or database via either existing device integration objects or OPC interface. The platform also enables connectivity to Enterprise systems and LIMS via ISA 95 standard protocols, HTTP, web services, database connections and data events.
Software development tools within the platform enable the development of custom software interfaces should the need arise to connect to a custom software application that does not enable communication via one of already discussed protocols.
