Preactor Advanced Scheduler for Wonderware MES products
Preactor has a standard integration with Wonderware MES Operations Module through the Wonderware Supply Chain Connector. Just by adding the required objects into a Wonderware application makes the MES system ‘Preactor Aware'.
Demand data such as sales and manufacturing orders held in the MES and received from the ERP system such as SAP is passed to Preactor together with routing and Bill of Materials.
The planner can then generate the schedule using standard or customized scheduling rules and then release this back to MES.
MES then uses the information to drive the shop floor and update the ERP system.
Operation progress (start and finish times or mid-batch updates) entered into MES is passed automatically back to the schedule to synchronize the current status of the schedule.
Planned maintenance on specific resources entered into MES are also used to update Preactor so that changes in capacity and the impact on completion times for all orders can then be assessed and action taken where required.
Preactor also has direct access to data available in the Wonderware Information Server (WIS).
OEE, Alarms and Historical information is directly viewable within Preactor via context sensitive interaction with the planner
VISIBILITY IS THE KEY You need to see the impact of your decisions. This cannot be achieved with more generalized tools, such as a spreadsheet. Preactor is a finite scheduling system that can accurately model any discrete or process application.
